Yeah, but i understand if it was a year or half a year later. Just one month is stupid-fast. The next MLS season hasn't even started lol. When the stuff stops selling, they lower the price. Pretty standard, really.

Damn. The hoodie I preferred sold out of size XL. See? Buy early, buy late. Everything's a trade-off.It worked out nicely for me. I bought a jacket last week that didn't go on sale and I'm able to stock up this week on all the stuff that did.

I think Santa deserves better than to be placed at the end of a dusty aisle at Target! FULL PRICE PLASTIC LIGHT UP SANTAS ALL YEAR!!It's seasonal merchandise! Do you complain to CVS when they sell creme eggs for half price after Easter?*
*if creme eggs were kosh

An alternative explanation is that they ordered 25,000 units and only sold 3,000 (I'm making up numbers here). So after a month they had to put them on sale to get them out of the warehouse. It may be that they greatly overestimated the demand. It's seasonal merchandise! Do you complain to CVS when they sell creme eggs for half price after Easter?
I actually think the Fanatics branded stuff is made on demand. They can sell them for half off and still make $$$.An alternative explanation is that they ordered 25,000 units and only sold 3,000 (I'm making up numbers here). That might be true. I also expect the demand curve on these types of items drops very fast. If you don't buy a championship shirt or cap in 3 months you probably never will. So if you want to get people to pull the trigger, as the combo of the sale and the Amex $20 rebate did for me, you start the sale 6 weeks after the event. An alternative explanation is that they ordered 25,000 units and only sold 3,000 (I'm making up numbers here). Except as I mentioned one hoodie is out of stock for size XL. Unless they are out of blanks, but they have another hoodie that seems to be identical except for the printing, and it is available in all sizes.I actually think the Fanatics branded stuff is made on demand.
teach em a lesson and next championship, you wait a month before you buy any merch! YEA!
joking aside... it sucks, but that's just retail business. It happens everywhere. Look at cell phones, for example. Upon release a new phone may cost $1200 these days (insane). Many are announced/released in end of sept/oct. Come november, you can get them for $500+ off for holidays sales.
These companies prey on impulse buyers who WANT IT NOW, like you said. Now they're tempting the reluctant ones who waited through the rush. The advantage of buying early, as mgarbowski alluded to, is you have your pick of sizes, colors, etc.
No jerseys were sold with this sale. Most of the merch had limited sizes. The only real BEST BUY for me, was the half off scarf. Glad I waited on that!
I'm holding out for the "piece of the net" framed photos to get to Level 3...Someone once told me that there are really only three price points to buy something:
1. Full Price (price insensitive)
2. 30% off (discount)
3. 70% off (liquidation)
after NYCFC won the championship we were all #1 hahahahha
How about the bottoms? So the hoodie is available.... in Europe/UK. However, it isn't yet available in the US.
I tried to see if it could ship to the US, but alas the link only ships to the UK.
Interesting getup with the cargo pants too... the lads will have plenty of extra space for other goods when they travel! Too bad they aren't cup shaped to hold all the mate/ terere that our SA contingent loves to travel with. How about the bottoms?
Do the championship beanies run small or did I get a weird one?
