I'm in the same boat. I haven't bought a home shirt since 2015 (why bother?) and before last year I hadn't bought a secondary shirt since the early years.Appreciate that info. I needed an idea for a holiday gift for my son who’s become increasingly difficult to purchase for. This was perfect timing as I’ve been waiting for a kit to go on sale.I'm in the same boat. I haven't bought a home shirt since 2015 (why bother?) and before last year I hadn't bought a secondary shirt since the early years.
It was either early this year or some time last year there was a random Adidas eBay deal that someone posted on here where I got the secondary shirt (replica I think) for like $16. Figured I couldn't pass it up.
This actually made me think though, and I just realized I don't have any jerseys for any other team or sport, and haven't since I was a kid. I also don't think I've personally bought myself any team merchandise for any other team. So on both accounts, I guess this club has achieved a special place in my heart, because I've never considered buying any merch for any one else. The caveat is that I get the sporadic Yankees, Jets and other stuff for christmas so I don't have to buy anything myself. Most of my family has no idea what NYCFC is so I don't get the random "hmmm I know he likes that teams I'll but this shirt that's on sale Macy's for him" gifts.
Those are nice looking kicks! Not New swag, but just scored another pair of my profile pic boots for less than half what they originally sold for.
I stockpiled. Still working on my first pair of three. Those are nice looking kicks!
Has anyone ever bought a winter coat from the club? I’m thinking about getting one while they are on sale and I’m curious about the quality. I don’t want to drop $200 on something that won’t keep me warm. Just prepping for the schedule flip and this year’s March games. For reference I’m looking at this one: https://www.mlsstore.com/en/new-yor...P:m-RV:pi-PDP_RECOMMENDATIONS_TOP:i-r0c3:po-3
Or
Never Primaloft
Primaloft is the poster child for quick-death/fast fashion in the outdoor industry. Short staple synthetic insulation degrades extremely rapidly with surprisingly small amounts of mechanical strain. Basically wearing it, leaning against things, pack straps, being stuffed into your pack, etc all fairly rapidly make the insulation stop being lofty. Once it's not lofty, it's not warm. On BPL, there's a number of people complaining about getting a single season out of Primaloft coats.
