Not the biggest deal ever, but I always thought of not having mascots (barring Mr. Met) as a NY sports quirk.

i don't think it's ugly. i think it's the appropriate level of cartoony mascotness. if a kid is scared for it, that kid is probably scared of a lot of things.

Great to see them finally officially embrace the pigeon! Also props to them for calling themselves out a bit with the "wait have you been here the whole time?" Well done.

I do think it is a bit unnecessary at this point. I think most fans have embraced the "pigeons" as our nickname over "cityzens" (ew). But the team really didn't need to have an actual mascot. The subtle nods to it on merch and whatever they choose to do at the new stadium would be enough for me. We didn't really need a cartoony pigeon mascot.

That thing is going to print money, I'm shocked they haven't done it sooner. If there is a stuffed version in a stadium gift shop that I end up in with my kids there are better odds of NYCFC signing a star DP we've heard of than me getting out of that gift shop without having to buy that thing.

I like that she/he/it is wearing timbs and the purple matches the 7 train purple. Very New York. The baseball cap being a homage to our baseball stadium days is nice too. The star on the belly representing the cup isn’t a great idea cause we are getting more than one cup, baby!
