FIFA is just a terrible esport. Payouts suck and there is no dedicated league for it. The game completely relies on AI.

Now let’s put it this way. Playing video games is literally the dream. If people are retiring, to work “normie” jobs, then it’s time FIFA looks into making the game an actual esport. It’s either that or they just scrap the attempt and call it a day.

The idea is that the teams are paying these guys to represent them as well. Also the main way they should be making money is streaming. Unfortunately the game is in a state where people simply rage constantly and it doesn’t make for great viewing when the person you’re watching is constantly pissed. Not that many people watch fifa twitch streaming. So these guys can’t make a lot of money from it.
 
We aren't in the knockout round of eMLS 2023 Season 1. Chris B is one of the best FIFA players in the world but he isn't our number one. Don't know if that's because of Xbox vs. PlayStation, or anything reason, but it's upsetting.

Wouldn't be an issue if the mode that was pushed was Pro Clubs, but nooooooo...

Seriously, imagine 11v11 FIFA esports. Obviously, it's probably unlikely. As you said, the payouts for FIFA esports are pretty dogshit and I imagine that'd be even worse for 11-man teams, not counting reserve players. Plus, building a team only to have one of your best players miss a tournament/league match because of IRL issues would be shitty.

I've played organized Pro Clubs for years and the mode has so much untapped potential.
