NYCFC Forums Travel Plans 2017

West options would be LA, Colorado, Dallas, Vancouver, and Salt Lake. Maybe Minnesota.

Worth noting that with expansion, it is possible that we don't completely reverse the schedule with the west next year. There might be more rejiggering, but I doubt it.

For a location, we should pick a place that has a great stadium and is an interesting city with things to do aside from just the game. I think that rules out places like NE, DC and Columbus.

For a close game, I like Montréal and Philly. For farther away, I like Toronto, Atlanta, LA, and (if it is in March) Salt Lake.

I'm absolutely up for this. Of the nearby stadiums, I think Philadelphia is better than NE, though I actually thought NE was a pretty nice place to watch a match last night if you ignore the empty third deck above you.

In terms of places that are slightly farther, I would love to get to Montreal having had conflicts both last year and this. Orlando is a fantastic environment even in a football stadium, and should be even better next year once they move into their SSS.

In terms of other East Conf stadiums, I'd probably rank them Toronto, Columbus and Chicago in that order.

I'd love to get to some of the west coat stadiums as well, though I would probably support staying more local if we are only doing one trip to try to maximize participation.

Let's bump this back up...

There is not much that's inspiring aside from Atlanta on Memorial Day weekend. Montréal was a trip I was hoping for, but it's mid-week.

I think with at DC being on a Saturday this year, I will finally try and make that happen. Granted it will be at RFK, which is a complete dump.

To be 100% clear my comment is directed at a specific forum poster, not at a fine American city.

There are two weekends that Vancouver, Seattle, Portland have Friday/Saturday/Sunday games. Shame that NYCFC is not one. Would love to go to Portland.
