NYCFC
Needs: Center back, center forward, center midfield
During the club’s playoff run, NYCFC lost star center forward Alonso Martínez (torn ACL) and Andrés Perea (leg fracture). Both will miss most (if not all) of 2026.
Martinez is more difficult to replace, given he was the club’s best goal scorer (17). Players with his goal record are not cheap, and there isn’t a natural backup. In central midfield, as long as Keaton Parks is back, then between him, Aiden O’Neill and Johnny Shore NYCFC should be fine, but another rotational option is still needed.
At center back, breakout homegrown Justin Haak is departing, as his contract expired. A replacement is needed there.

Just as an aside, do people really pay good money for this drivel? What is Bogert reporting that anyone who follows the club doesn't already know? I've seen more insightful posts from fans on any number of social media platforms.
