Official Schedule Discussion

Does anybody know of on online source (or phone app) that displays the team schedule in calendar format rather than as a list? I find it much easier to visualize the schedule rather than read everything. E.G. it's a lot easier to see something like we have 3 Thursday night home games in one month, or a long road trip, or whatever. I have downloaded the calendar but it's not as good as a dedicated calendar like these:

The account ticket manager website for season ticket holders has it displayed in calendar format I believe.

Just got tickets for myself and a friend to the game at Chicago on April 24th. I live and go to college in Iowa, so I won't really have a chance to attend any home matches and didn't think I'd get to see the team this year. It'll be the first professional soccer game, first MLS game, and first NYCFC game all in one, so I'm pretty excited!

Two rules:
Wear black.
Boo any mention of Lampard.

Latest news: MLSPU is telling Canada Soccer Now that they're close to walking away from table. Steve Goff is reporting that owner's offer on free agency is you're eligible if 32 years old and have spent 10 years with the same team.

Based on that, sounds like we're losing this weekend. Good sign that owners have agreed to a free agency, even if it's ridiculous in details. Means they've made the big concession and it's all about the details.

If the opening games are cancelled, do fans who have booked hotels and made travel arrangements get refunded? It seems to me that the fans have been forgotten in this whole discussion.

They never are remembered or taken care of. That sucks if this is you (and is a big reason I decided against trying for Orlando). If so, I hope TR and the Lion Firm can scramble together a FIFA tournament or something so the fans that made the trip can hang out and enjoy being soccer fans together (and maybe curse the owners together)

I think the best thing to have done would have been not to put match tickets up for sale until there was an agreement. Maybe they could have said the league would not begin until two weeks after an agreement is reached, there by giving fans an opportunity to sort travel arrangements out when everyone knew what was going on.

It seems very strange with the League about to kick off nobody knows for sure what will happen.

So if a strike is called does that mean players can't even play friendly games until an agreement is reached?

Well, there's a huge question mark about whether the players for DC will suit up for a CCL match this week in DC.

If they do strike, I'm assuming they're not showing up for anything, including friendlies.

they could play the games with scabs
Can't use scabs. Vancouver and Montreal labor laws prevent this. That's why they haven't been mentioned as options.

Word is players are looking to go on training stints to NASL and foreign teams, so some will at least try to stay fit. Don't know how foreign players on Visas are affected by leaving the USA.

I think DCU plays because right now I think most fans side with the players... if DCU doesn't play they might get some bad press.

I saw a rumour saying that foreign/visa players who choose to leave the country will be prevented from re-entering until the strike is ended.

I must say, it's days like this when a lot of the posters here are all-stars. Lots of really good information and insight. Good job posters.
