Hot damn! The only comparable team is LAG. And with their storied history vs us only joining the league last year it's amazing we've passed them (along with everyone else).
Interestingly, there seem to be a 2nd tier of RBNJ and Seattle with around 700,000 FB followers. Then it really drops off.
Also, we're behind a good number of teams on Twitter. And who leads the league there? Philly??? I wonder how they got so high, I might have to follow them to find out why. Maybe they have a very witty intern.
Facebook: (1) NYCFC; (2) LAG; (3) Red Bull; (4) Seattle; (5) Orlando.
Two teams above 1.5m, next three above 500k, then a pretty steady slope down with all current teams sitting above 150k and all expansion teams below 100k.
Instagram: (1) NYCFC; (2) LAG; (3) Orlando; (4) Seattle; (5) Kansas City.
Two teams above 400k, next two above 150k, then everyone else below 100k, averaging around 50k for that group.
Twitter: (1) LAG; (2) Seattle; (3) Orlando; (4) NYCFC; (5) Vancouver.
Nine teams above 200k, next nine above 100k, and the last five below 100k.
Ah, I didn't see that extra digit for the Twitter numbers that was supposed to carry over to the next line. Makes more sense now.

Wow, places 2-4 are all right next to each other for Twitter. Seattle on 265k, Disney on 263k and us on 261k. All primed for one swift overtaking manoeuvre...
Not the intern. I just spent a few minutes looking at each team's social media accounts.
You know that legally, if we ask if you're the intern on this forum, you have to answer truthfully.
Saw you also posted this on r/MLS so I'll make the point here too that NYCFC has a verified Spanish twitter account with 27.2K followers that would boost our ranking.

I don't think MLS core demographic reads EoS, i.e. college students, young alumni.
