He probably thinks it means, “the league of major soccer,” rather than, “the major league soccer.” He does that with words and phrases.
English uses articles much less than French does (much less than lots of languages really). ESL speakers from those languages often add "the" in front of words where it doesn't belong. He probably thinks it means, “the league of major soccer,” rather than, “the major league soccer.” He does that with words and phrases.
My comment was in jest since we never know if he’s really quite pleased or quite really pleased.English uses articles much less than French does (much less than lots of languages really). ESL speakers from those languages often add "the" in front of words where it doesn't belong.
And I have found that explaining jokes in a way that takes them seriously makes me very popular at parties. My comment was in jest since we never know if he’s really quite pleased or quite really pleased.
I was quite really hoping that video was from 2016 once I saw Khiry in the pictures. Think the club could of went over some recent shots...

Ha. Just posted this in a game thread.
No surprise and probably for the best.
Question for the next game is whether Bradley will adopt the Portland strategy (bunker), the Red Bulls strategy (press), or play it straight up.
Dammit, PV, a team needs at least two looks.Damn the torpedoes. Full speed ahead.

I saw you beat me after I posted. I usually hate to repeat what someone else just posted, and always check, but I wasted at least 5 minutes trying to find a thread that doesn't seem to exist. Didn't we used to have a thread on strategy, tactics and formations, or something like that?Ha. Just posted this in a game thread.

I agree. A possibly more important question is whether we can play around their press for long enough to tire them out, or if we concede early and give them the opportunity to play in a deep block and get their legs back.LAFC cant press full 90 ....at least basing it off like two games i saw....team gets gassed too.
Need a heavy, heavy pour of Oban after reading that.Damn the torpedoes. Full speed ahead.

I'm hoping it's just a ruse so other teams don't know what to do with themselves when we hit them up with a more varied attack. But I'm probably being silly.Need a heavy, heavy pour of Oban after reading that.
So I haven't read the article yet, so maybe this is covered.I agree. A possibly more important question is whether we can play around their press for long enough to tire them out, or if we concede early and give them the opportunity to play in a deep block and get their legs back.
I understand why he's sticking to his guns, it's a fine plan A, and we can execute much better than we did on 5/5. But there are some days where no amount of dressing-room bollocking is going to improve our decision-making. Or if we just need to weather the storm to get our heads back on, or until we can reset at half time. What then?
I get the fixation on playing entertaining football, but predictability is not all that entertaining.
Damn the torpedoes. Full speed ahead.
