I am trying to remember the exact specifications of his job as president. I think I recall that he was purely in a non-sporting role. Whether it was all non-sporting activities or a subset, I can't recall.
I think we all know he was brought in primarily to help build relationships in the city with a view to securing a stadium site. I think he has done well with that (although it is hard to know for sure). Problem is that we don't seem particularly close to a stadium deal. Maybe that's wrong, but it is also hard to know for sure.
It could be that he is simply interested in doing something else. It could also be that the Club believes that while he has built good relationships within city government, it needs a different skill set to get the stadium project over the finish line.
I don't think it is because anyone views him as a failure.
