After he played the full 90' in Italy's match a few days ago, I'm glad he didn't play at all today. He should be 100% ready for FC Dallas on Saturday.

I haven't actually seen any of this criticism but I feel like any criticism would be bizarre, or anchored by bias against the quality of MLS. In the game against Malta, Italy didn't really get going, but I thought that Pirlo showed up well and their front line was anodyne. I might be biased myself, however.
