After the initial 2 questions about Mikey, he seems to answer a question about Lurch saying he was happy with the decision.

The question was when he made the decision to start Eirik. Eirik was told Sunday that he was starting. Still Vieira didn't answer the question.

The big question that nobody has asked but is implicit is whether we would have been better off losing 2-3 or drawing 0-0. I think losing 2-3 is better, which is why I think Coach V really screwed the pooch in this last game after a season where he was mostly very good.

Yup. Looking at the tape that is a suspension. Definitely a kick after the play. Great. Very out of character for Villa.

man i must really have a different take for the game. he was still shoved out of position causing him to fall and yes kick came out as he was falling so meh...play on.

ive seen pirlo get actually hammered and hit directly from behind before and nothing happens.

This.

It was a mid-fall flail, not any kind of kick against someone from a stable position. I don't see a red. I could see a yellow.

we were six minutes away from a very good performance tonight.

No. Just no.

Just because it was 0-0 after 80 minutes by some miracle (and hard fought defense) does not mean it was a very good performance.

The match was ALL Toronto for the first 80 minutes. NYC had essentially zero pressure on Toronto offensively.

Pirlo was a massive loss and no version of Lopez ever belongs in a playoff starting XI.

It was dirty, and there should be punishment for it, but there is about a 3% chance MLS decides to suspend one of its best players for a playoff game. That would be insane of them to do -- they'll fine him the maximum allowable amount, but I'd be beyond shocked if they suspended him.

Not only would I be surprised, I'd be angry. It would be an egregious decision to take Villa off the field for the second leg of a conference semifinal.

Egregious because it's a semifinal second leg? He either deserves to get suspended, or he doesn't (spoilers: he does)

Yes, it would be egregious to suspend a team's top player for a playoff game. This isn't a slam-dunk suspension, and would be egregious to suspend him in this situation.

You see this in other sports like the NHL -- they work very hard not to suspend players -- even role players -- during the playoffs. And when they do suspend guys, the suspension is usually half the length it would be during the regular season.

I love you so much.
