Do HGs need an international spot?
Yes, no green card or citizenship = int spot, I'm not aware of any exceptions.

That's going to make it a pain in the ass to sign Lasande than. I don't think he's a citizen?Yes, no green card or citizenship = int spot, I'm not aware of any exceptions.
That is about the worst red I’ve ever seen.

Guess I’m glad it ruined my plan to watch today. 20 minutes in and it’s like we aren’t even playing a midfield. I guess Patty thinks we don’t need to actually try to find our best 11 since he’ll never play them together anyway. Joke and a half.
PVs plan was to give everyone at least 60 minutes during the 2 games to see how they do. I think he learned more than Sigi did having 2 squads each play 45 minutes with the first 20-25 at a pace they couldn't keep up for even 45.This is a case of really awful scheduling. We were in LA for a week, was there a reason we had to play games on back-to-back days? These two games basically turned into split-squad games. Can't imagine PV was getting anything out of either game aside from making sure guys get some miles in their legs.

How did you last so long?Wasted 45 minutes and turned it off. Big yawn
This was apparent even in his highlights, and it's why I'm not on the bandwagon just yet.Medina looked very soft - he will need to work on his strength and shielding to adjust to the game here it seem
Thank you for saying this ! He's just a boy that's had a lot of responsibility thrown at him . It's amazing he can breath yet be perfect for everyone's liking Sands is sweetheart the more relaxed one is the better the performance . Glad to know someone stuck up for the boy .it would be too early to judge Sand
And I'm sure there is some agreement that Villa is to definitely play in the match in Mexico.PVs plan was to give everyone at least 60 minutes during the 2 games to see how they do. We have a good idea how LAG is going to play in March -- they don't have any idea how we will play. Doing this makes everyone feel like they are competing for a spot. I liked it from a coaching perspective (sucked from a fan perspective last night).

Definitely, agree that Kwame looked better at left back. There seems like there was a little tactical tweak, allowing Mata to bomb up the pitch and have Kwame cover him. Almost like he was a left back on offense and a holding mid on defense.I think that getting game-intensity fitness is the only successful outcome of this match.
I figured that Paddy would be trying to make some decisions on marginal roster players, but I question how much insight we would be able to get from watching them all drown as a team. Particularly for the younger players - ideally they'd come in as complementary pieces when we have a foothold in the game, and not when we are all at sea.
I was also surprised that Sigi and Paddy didn't work out a way to field complementary lineups so that it wasn't such a one-sided contest - even before the sending off, we were swamped. Maybe they did coordinate - if Paddy wanted to serve up some humble pie for his boys, and Sigi wanted to give his squad a confidence boost, then mission well and truly accomplished.
From what I could see:
- Medina looked very soft - he will need to work on his strength and shielding to adjust to the game here it seems.
- Maxi was the only player taking any responsibility on the field.
- I think we saw why Rawls doesn't play.
- I thought Kwame looked a bit better after settling in at LB. The midfield 3 were completely at odds with one another and I think it would be too early to judge Sands and Awuah based on this showing.
Ah fuck, forgot to add #AskNYCFC to my question.First #AskNYCFC of the season.
