When Perea comes back, I have no idea what happens or what should happen. Maybe Pascal rotates based on matchups.

Well both Perea and Kevin started over Ojeda at LW at different points last season. Probably good to have options in midfield, Keaton and Perea will both need more rotation than normal coming off injuries. Our D and midfield are stacked with options, unfortunately the attack is a shallow toothless mess.

Seems like all three of those guys are all versatile enough to fill in each other. Just that Keaton is so good and doing this triangle cycle thing is trying to replace something we can’t really do.

And they stopped that with Parks in for O’Neil. That’s so weird to me. I love Pascal giving so much thought to this in preseason.

I'd really like to see Maxi to the bench Nico to CAM and Reid on for some time with the starters in the second half. Give the kid a chance with the first team, see what he can do.

It seems crazy to me that Maxi is still this relied on at his age. Even with Nico in the fold, they just can't get Maxi off the field.

I mean it's great for Maxi that he's still this influential, but terrible for the future whenever the Little Genius hangs 'em up.

I say this with some level of hyperbole, but I think Maxi would be the last name on my team sheet to start but first name off the bench.

Yeah, it's wild. I'm curious if the Sylla move went through if the plan was for that to push Nico to CAM with a wing rotation of Talles, Ojeda and Wolf or would Nico have gone to RW with Maxi staying on.

It worked in the playoffs last year so I'm not too worried yet. As long as guys come out of these preseason games healthy, that's really all that matters. Veterans aren't playing hard, young guys are, it's impossible to really form any sort of opinions off these preseason games.

Did it? In our 5 playoff games were shut out once and held to 1 goal 3 times. We succeeded because on defense we earned 3 shut outs and conceded 1 goal in another.

We need more scoring threats.

We really just need a striker. This team is better than a lot of people are giving it credit for. We have lots of attacking talent if they can play off a striker.

If we sign a striker, we move Nico back to a wing/CAM role, Maxi's role changes, and the pressure is off Talles, Ojeda, and Wolf. A striker solves a lot of problems and improves our depth on the wing and at the No. 10.

I do think if we get a striker that hits, we have a top-5 roster in the league and are a legitimate MLS Cup threat.

After Nico arrived last year, we were one of the best teams in MLS. It was not a fluke that we made it to the conference final.

If we sign a striker, we are a legitimate threat to win MLS Cup.
