I know MrE answered these, but I fancied having a shot at a couple of the ones I don't think he either nailed, or gave every answer for. It may also be because I have a bit of a mind for maps:

4 - Isn't it something like 8 miles, between Gibraltar and Tangiers?

5 - (Not using answers MrE gave) San Marino, the Vatican, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia

6 - France
Germany
Colombia

Ref Q 3. Is the queens head on the " reverse" side with the portcullis at the front of the coin

What is a km? A queen? or a portcullis? Speak American people.

Nice to see you joining in Magnus.
You have set some good questions for the American people there ?

Maybe one of the questions, the one about KM is not wasted on us older Brits either ;-)

Lets try to keep the questions inclusive though as this is an international supporters forum is it not ?

OK, here are are all the answers, and you may congratulate/kick yourself where necessary.
By the way, 1.6kms is 1 mile.

1. Henry VIII

2. 116 years (1337-1453)

3. This one is a doozy - You are actually looking at the reverse side, the other side is called 'the obverse'

4. 14km (Gibraltar to Africa, about eight and a half miles)

5. Austria, Czech, Switzerland, Slovakia, Hungary, Macedonia, Vatican City, Luxembourg, Poland, Liechenstein; there are others.

Not necessarily true. Whilst historically the head was the biggest image (it had to be to fulfill the Head of State's ego, or to represent a Roman god's importance), it is not always the case.
With a Euro coin for example, all, regardless of which country minted it, have one same side with a unit amount on it, and the opposite has an image representing the country. There is some confusion as to which is the reverse and the obverse, and you will get a different answer depending upon who you ask.
Admittedly I can understand your questioning of this, but at the very least, I suspect many here were unaware of the term 'obverse', so at least they've learned something (even if some confusion arises from the true definition of the word). Although I think question #10 is probably the one that was frustrating most people.

Yeah 10 was a good one. I read that ketchup is a non-newtonian fluid, so it acts as a solid unless it is disturbed, which is why hitting the bottle causes it to flow.

I remember about the ketchup now. IIRC, Heinz actually regularly perform speed tests on their ketchup. If it goes too fast or too slow then it doesn't get approved.

just one for you to ponder !!

Do infants enjoy infancy, as much as adults enjoy adultery ? ;)
