Definitely some names I'd be happy to see in the city on those lists. This draft can't get here soon enough.

Yea there are some quality MLS players available if we are able to snag one.

I'd really like to see Darren Mattocks come down here. He's still got some maturing to do, but I think Kreis could make something out of a player like him.

In all honesty, I couldn't tell you much (if anything) about any of the players on the unprotected list.

I would imagine Kreis is going to grab someone off of RSL's roster, but who knows?

Jeff Attinella wouldn't be a bad selection for a backup GK. I remember seeing him with the Tampa Bay Rowdies when I was watching NASL games and I thought he was pretty good.

I don't see any way we pick up less than the 10 players allowed. We may not keep all 10 by opening day due to contract issues and what not, but we will pick 10. The bulk of which will likely be players with the most upside. I don't expect to pick up more than 2 or 3 solid starters unless we take risks with contracts and such.
I've never really cared much about drafts in sports because they are boring, but for this one I will be at my computer agonizing over every pick we make!

Players I think we should definitely have a look at
Yannick Djalo (28) - San Jose Eartquakes
CJ Sapong (25) - Sporting Kansas City
Mike Magee (30) - Chicago Fire
Marvell Wynne (28) - Colorado Rapids
Thomas Piermayr (25) - Colorado Rapids
Ryan Meara (24) - New York Red Bulls
Peguy Luyindula (35) - New York Red Bulls
Kenny Cooper (30) - Seattle Sounders
Andy Rose (24) - Seattle Sounders
Michael Azira (27) - Seattle Sounders
Kofi Opare (24) - DC United
Will Johnson (27) - Portland Timbers
Ethan White (23) - Philadelphia Union

If he's available, I feel like you'd have to take the gamble on Magee. At worst you end up with a slightly expensive bench warmer for a season. At best we'll get to see why he was such a fan favorite at LA and Chicago.

I agree, recent MVP with a better than 1/2 goal per game record (for Chicago), and he wouldn't be on dp wages. It would be criminal not to take the gamble on him.

I'm not aware of the expansion draft being televised, though I'm pretty sure the SuperDraft is.
