RIP MLS Fantasy

Well, not entirely. Looks like the League has washed their hands of the game though and just passed it on to some German outfit called Kickbase.

Everything is pretty much still up in the air and more info will be known in a few days, but a lot of people are very unhappy with the changes. There will be no rolling lockouts, no bench players, a salary cap of $250 million (which means no salary cap at all), ridiculous scoring, little to no prize giveaways, no point updates until the round is over unless you join a league in the paid tier (which is a whole other issue). As someone mentioned it basically took all the tinkering out of the game which was half the fun. I can't tell you how many times the lineup I'd set on Monday morning would be totally different from the lineup I'd end up with on Saturday. It's pretty much is a set it and forget it game now.

IMO the League really dropped the ball here. One reason I watch matches all weekend and don't tune out after the NYCFC match is because of Fantasy. I can't understand why the League always shit on the game rather than promote it like other sports do. It keeps people engaged with the League. meh, whattayagonnado?

Just out of curiosity does anyone else still play, or am I the only sicko?

I hear you. I enjoy playing, because it got me interested in the League as a whole and not just NYCFC. The way MLS ignored their own fantasy game was a shame and it did kind of lower the enthusiasm level.

Right now it's 50/50 if I'm going to keep on playing. At this time the game is set up via app only on your android and not available for laptop use. I'm finding it too clunky on the small phone and a lot of others have the same complaints.
