Not sure what it is, but considering the graphic says "25 November" instead of the Americanized "November 25," I would guess it's something being done by corporate in England and not, say, groundbreaking.
Looks like it's using Etihad's font, so it's probably a sponsored element of some kind.
The Facebook post says, "from Etihad Airways."I think there being a plane emoji in the caption has a lot to do with what this announcement is about…

I'm ok with events if warranted, and groundbreaking justifies it.Very strange indeed. why would the club post about a CFG event using an image of our stadium unless it had something to do with us?
formatting of the date could just be a nuance based on design aesthetic or the person making it is not american raised.
my guess is an event to announce the sponsorship with the big wigs in attendance and potentially a groundbreaking date forecast/announcement. mgarbowski will love it if it's an actual event. haha

Announcing a stadium sponsor that was 99.98% certain already does not.

It seems likely these would be related but they already fly to New York.
Yeah, but maybe they have more flights leaving from NY to other places…?It seems likely these would be related but they already fly to New York.
It could be but that's a terribly lame thing for NYCFC to hype if so.Yeah, but maybe they have more flights leaving from NY to other places…?
It's been a long time since I looked into it, but aren't international airlines limited in what routes they can fly? Or has that been eliminated.Yeah, but maybe they have more flights leaving from NY to other places…?

Roundtrips from Manchester to NYC on matchdays for all of our passionate Manchester based supporters to attend. It could be but that's a terribly lame thing for NYCFC to hype if so.
Right, they use domestic code shares to feed into international flights, and they can fly between two non-home countries if they have the proper permissions (they're called "fifth freedom rights").It's been a long time since I looked into it, but aren't international airlines limited in what routes they can fly? Or has that been eliminated.
It used to be that a foreign airline could fly between their country and basically any city in the world, but couldn't run routes directly between two non-home countries. I'm guessing that has been loosened to some extent, or they use partnerships and sister companies to circumvent the rules.
