Just when I think we can't possibly uncover something else in regards to a stadium on this thread we now have train track shock absorbers!!! In 15 years some PhD student is going to do their thesis on this thread and analyze the actual stadium with our posts.........o_Oo_Oo_O

They are NEVER going to get a new stadium as long as they are in NYC. NEVER. GF works for the state in real estate, planning, and zoning. Never happening.

By "they" do you mean the Cosmos? Or NYCFC?

Also your avatar photo is bringing up some emotions I've been trying to keep inside...POKU!!!

Doesn't seem to affect MSG

The train tracks are below ground level at MSG, and the playing surface is on the fifth floor of MSG. So there's probably a good 60-70 feet of height between the train tracks and the court/rink.

NYCFC. Cosmos will be at Belmont eventually.
Maybe we need to make a Claim Chowder thread to keep things like this handy so we can come back in a few years and check on them.

Id be concerned if she held a high-level position in the comparable City agency rather than the State's. There's not just a difference but a huge difference between the two. Working in one does not indicate an intrinsic working knowledge of the other's policies and implementations.

Unless NYCFC is positioning themselves to move forward with a plot of land jointly regulated by the City and State, then the State doesn't have the broad stroke ability to table/kill the project. They may have sway, but the City regulates land in the City.

Interesting that CFG incorporated there on 1/9/2013. Months before NYCFC was announced, and shortly after they denied they were buying into MLS (e.g. ESPN: Man City says it is not buying MLS club 12/15/2012). I suppose some careful sleuthing would have added more to the rumor mill at the time. CFG didn't register it as a foreign corp with New York until 5/7/2013 though, so would have been hard to detect

If the forum (and stadium thread) existed back then, it would have been all over the news. With no acknowledgment of course.
