If that's your mindset then just stop supporting now. You clearly have little to no connection with the team.ill become a red supporter if the stadium is any farther north than westchester. if its in westchester, than i wount support at all

I will NOT support a team outside of the city. I dont like the giants or the jets.If that's your mindset then just stop supporting now. You clearly have little to no connection with the team.
NYU doesn't play at Gaelic Park, Manhattan College does. Gaelic Park would not be suitable anyway, it's way too small. Columbia just invested major money into the Bakers field facility, there's no way they would be interested in building a stadium there, although possibly it could be the practice facility.NYU has no fields -- they play at Gaelic Park in Riverdale, which is approximately 2 city blocks wide by 1 city block long.
Columbia plays on a small field near Baker Field in northern Manhattan. You could probably fit a stadium there if you knocked the whole thing down, but you'd have to share it with Columbia and there is no reasonable way for anyone to get there. It's even hard to get to from Manhattan. Close in distance but no way it could handle any sort of traffic.
Just do yourself a favor and stop reading articles written by people with little to no connection to NYCFC. Writing crap just to get you to read and talk about it here and get others to do the same and spread it on social media.I will NOT support a team outside of the city. Columbia invested money in a new Athletics building on the site (weight rooms, offices, etc) They haven't invested anything new into the football stadium, which in current form hold ~15,000. They could do a deal where they rehab the stadium and long term lease/facility share as the football team only plays there 5 times a year plus practice. But for that kind of dual use, they prob play on turf. Not ideal. The soccer stadium holds 5K and not much room to build that out unless they ate up some practice field space. As far as travel, it's 5 minute walk from 1-train, A-train and MetroNorth but abosultely no car parking spaces at all. Might make for an interisting interim solution until a permanent space is found.NYU doesn't play at Gaelic Park, Manhattan College does. Gaelic Park would not be suitable anyway, it's way too small. totally self-centered in my support of this solution as I'd walk out my front door, cross the street and be on my club's grounds. Just a short stumble home post game as well....
Does this help us out in anyway?

Apologies, Fred- I go to GP all the time for GAA stuff, but I've never come across NYU teams, only Manhattan College. Very interesting. As for Bakers field, considering how notoriously bad the Lions are, hard to see Columbia be willing to jump through all the hoops that they would have to in order to get a big stadium project approved, no? There was a lot of community resistance to the new building (if I recall correctly) and the University is focused on construction of its new campus. Of course, if the pot gets sweetened significantly by NYC FC and it's a big reward for minimal effort (like with the Olympic bid) maybe they would go for it...NYU most certainly does play their home games at Gaelic Park and I clearly mentioned that it's 2 city blocks by 1 city block -- too small to hold a stadium.

I agree with Mr. Conspiracy here. We were drawn to this club for a number of reasons, but mainly two promises:That's not really fair to him. Honestly, what connection do any of us have to this team? Unless your a diehard ManCity fan, it's not like anyone has a history with the club that hasn't even played it's first game yet.
I love watching soccer, and honestly, the biggest appeal of NYCFC is my proximity to Yankee Stadium. If it's going to take me 1+ hours to get to the game, then I'm happy to stay home and watch EPL games on Saturday mornings.
