Stadium Discussion

I'm assuming for the moment he's running unopposed? If so, somebody in the front office should call him asap.
I nominate you to run opposed to him as a strawman candidate, and if by some insane chance you win, just keep saying we're ganna make the stadium yuuuuuuggge and reassure people you're going to make queens great again.

You have to think there's some sort of deal we can strike with the city on Willets Point and Flushing Meadows. There's a giant parking lot, a dilapidated neighborhood ready for cleanup, and a neglected park that needs a cash infusion.

We donate millions to park renovation and upkeep, the Wilpons build some affordable housing, and everyone gets what they want.

It's an interesting thought except why would the Wilpons do anything to benefit NYCFC when the Yankees are part owners?

Regardless, I agree we will def have to make a significant investment in the surrounding neighborhoods to have any chance of building a stadium.

Has the club ever explored the possibility of building on the old Yankee Stadium site and providing new Rec fields elsewhere in the Bronx? Granted, there's not a ton of space for fields but it would be easier than finding a new stadium site in the Bronx.
