Stadium Discussion

Yeah, that was Yankee Stadium. Now it's all public fields. The proposed Bronx stadium is a few blocks south of the 4 train stop at Yankee Stadium.

Put a stadium in Central Park. Now that would be cool.

I was there too, maybe if I can recruit my PSU fans to support NYCFC it can be an amazing atmosphere just like the game!
@danger I was at the Penn State/Boston College bowl game and it was amazing. It was also in the 50s in December which made it quite incredible. Yankee Stadium people say you really need the first two tiers to be filled to get the effect of being at Yankee Stadium and also have it look good on tv. They're putting NYCFC Tarp behind home plate since those sections aren't being used. They really should do that in the upper tiers as well and maybe some of the sections in the 2nd tier that are empty.

Oh Lord, that's all they'd have to do is tarp off the upper deck. Every God Damned poseur in North America would have the tops of their freakin' heads blow clear off.............on second thought, that might might be a bad idea after all.

It's a big parking lot. But I think the plan was to take over the parking lot and a manufacturing company (elevator)

Meddling de Blasio..... otherwise we would just be waiting for opening of new stadium.

Am I the only one who is starting to worry that the we haven't heard a peep about a stadium besides the same generic "we're looking for the right place to build a stadium it's gonna take some time" message we've been hearing for the past 2 years?
A bit worried but to be honest I'm more worried where and when we are going to build our home training center/ academy

Westchester?

Seriously, NYRB have one of the best academies in MLS and until recently it was renting a field or two from a local DII college. I think NYCFC already has something nicer and more controled up in WC. I dont think they are too far off so far.

I'm worried. Luckily for them they have the excitement of a new season to distract the issue. If by the end of this season they don't have a plan in place they will probably just settle for the Aqueduct. Otherwise we will probably be stadium-less until at least 2019.
