I think this is good news for more than just we didn't want Belmont. Maybe rejecting our Belmont bid means the powers-that-be think they "owe" us and will now work a little harder to get our preferred site approved?

Makes no sense they'd invite NYCFC to let them celebrate a loss. Maybe Cuomo is about to double down on two announcements for his speech next month?

- Cuomo announces that NYCFC gets Willets/Hudson Yards/????
- Cuomo announces he will publicly support that NYCFC gets one of the above
- No announcement but this is part of NYCFC's obligations in the shadow play for the secret deal which is done but has to wait before announcing it or everyone will know the fix was in
- NYCFC is just playing nice with no commitment in return
Could be any of those.
