DC united situation in the the sense of RFK? or their whole supporters issue going on?
EDIT: their new stadium is also already falling apart, one of their reporters got hurt by a steel rail that fell out hit her in shoulder

What supporters issue?
I think this is basically right. The other group is I think the District Ultras, and they and BB were once a single group but one split off from the other.the tl;dr version seems to be that barra brava ( and another group i forgot who) is no longer given tickets to the supporters section in new stadium. all tickets are given to screaming eagles which is another group and the can resell it as they want.
thing is barra has been around since the start and now basically being shunned to the owners, IIRC they already had beef with FO about other issues and allegedly one of the FO mentioned something along the lines of " you are customers you can be replaced " or something. i think barra is protesting it by not going to the game or paying their way thru screamin eagles group.
if anyone sees i got it wrong then please correct me.

Also, the club claims they made the same deal the Eagles have available to the other 2 groups who turned it down. The groups claim that's not true and they never got the offer. That's were I stop reading until someone produces the correspondence.
Playing in Yankee Stadium is holding this club back.
A new stadium will bring more fans into the fold and it cant end up being a DC United situation.

Playing in a half empty stadium is uninspiring for the team and the fans. Now even more with the bottom half starting to get spotty with empty seats all over the place. Not really the ideal scenario to capture a fan base.
feel like this has always been the case since year two. its always been spotty ....the columbus crowd was alright, normal ish to me.
the only time it got full was vs RB but i feel its more of the derby and nycfc giving out tickets as well for game thru different events.
You're having a laugh if you think they're making a significant profit off of 20,000 people attending a game. There were a lot of empty seats Saturday night but what surprised me was seeing so many people on their phones disinterested in the game. Even saw this guy in the bathroom carrying on to everyone how this was the worst soccer he ever saw, it's in a baseball stadium, that he wasted his money, etc.
To the fans, it impacts the game...but to the team, maybe getting 20k a game at yankee stadium makes more money than 30k at a new stadium. As a business, is there a rush? If we get down to 17k per game, they might start to scramble. Will it be to late? Probably not.

Also, they're not showing out of town scores as much as they should. Not surprised by this given everywhere that people are on their phones, but it did remind me of my gripe about the scoreboard. For a sport that’s relatively non-stop, they’re doing about 10000% more crowd shots than they need to during the game. I wouldn’t care so much, but my seats in 213 means the behemothtron is constantly in my line of sight. The constant flickering thing in my peripheral with people jumping and waving is a pain.

I don't have numbers to back me up, but I was under the impression that stadiums aren't profitable, especially at such low attendance levels? Anyone have any numbers on this?Who said "significant"? The league average is about 22k so most of the teams fall into this category. I would think we have some decent savings from sharing a facility.
