Well, people used to vote/be elected on the basis of their perceived judgment, not on single issues.
But it is simpler for folks to be like they are now. I’ll give you that. I’m just not playing along.
So I take it you’re good with how “politicians” are now, so long as they are on your side of a couple of issues?

The team sucks and the club leaks vague info. That's why I'm so cynical. I doubt you're making it up. I just question the motivation of the person you heard it from.
