What's interesting is NYCFC could have build a 25,000 seat modular SSS at anytime. They chose to, and continue to still choose to go down the YS route.
Where??

I'm curious as to why everyone seems to think that QBFC has so much more local community/political support than NYCFC does? What is that based on? Just the picture of Katz with Villa and Moya?
Community and political support for an as-yet-announced stadium in an as-yet-announced part of Queens in and as-yet-announced timeframe is “pretty much done”?
I don't recall exactly, and maybe I am recalling it all incorrectly, but I thought I remember reading somewhere that Katz's office released news that they were in talks about the stadium and Katz and Moya were excited about the project.
You're right, it's not "pretty much done" but having local political support is a big hurdle. and the modular stadium is to be at York college in jamaica. Sounds to me like it's pretty much announced? Or am I missing something?

Does Queensboro not need approval to build a stadium? Why are people acting like their situation is a sure thing?
A temporary stadium is easy, although I’m sure there will be objections. Getting approval from York to build a 7.5k stadium ≠ finding somewhere to build a 20-25k stadium.
Given what we know and what we believe still needs to be accomplished, is it even possible for them to make an “it’s done” announcement? Wouldn’t it be more of a “here’s where we are in the process” announcement? What are the missing pieces we don’t already know? Maybe details of a more definitive deal subject to approvals, more flavor on the plans and build team, further detail of the plans, a better timeline?
Reyna was the key to getting a stadium? Come on man lolAfter today we’re not getting a stadium any time soon
This post will look really silly when that announcement comes on December 31stRemember all those people saying that they thought an announcement was coming before end of year?
