Yankee Stadium cost $2.3 billion, so ... no. Definitely not multi-billion for our stadium, even with the ridiculous New York City costs.

The "multibillion" part is the entire development. The 2018 NYT story that broke Maddd's plan mentioned a $400m estimate for the stadium piece, although that might be low considering the HRY proposal priced a stadium of the same capacity at $700m.

That makes a lot more sense.

Oh I get what it was referencing, but it’s poor writing for a click-bait headline. It’s like saying you’re building a $1M swimming pool when in actuality you’re building a $40k pool as part of a million dollar home. The major cash-outlay is the defining type of development with the lesser price-tag structures as supplemental construction.

I think the income wouldn’t come from cheesesteaks as much as the city and businessss paying rent to CFG. Someone has to pay for the affordable housing.

You can see the whole field, and it’s right there in front of you and not 50 yards away.
Plus they could be using the ceiling for advertising companies that are proxy-owned by autocratic nation-states to gain political and economic influence. Might be the ideal setup for us from that perspective.

Goodison is where Jr. and I had FRONT ROW SEATS! Front row seats that were below grade, meaning that Jr could literally see no part of the field and could barely see the tops of players heads when they were on the sideline. A kind steward took pity on us and moved us to better seats. And bonus, Stubhub refunded half of our money for selling us tickets that were not listed as obstructed view...

With all the bells and whistles attached to the project I'm worried how much ticket prices will increase. How much of an increase is too much?

Hopefully this team learns from the NFL and MLB teams in the area, and realize not to price out their fans, but I doubt it. Hopeffully they will use the Man City pricing, which is middle of the pack of Manchester City - £ 637.50/per season. https://www.90min.com/posts/6404583...club-s-season-tickets-ahead-of-2019-20-season
Unfortunately, they will probably look at the LAFC pricing. LAFC is just midway through its second season, yet its average ticket price of $49.64 is more than 13% higher than any other MLS team. https://www.latimes.com/sports/soccer/story/2019-07-27/lafc-expensive-mls-tickets-galaxy-soccer.

I understand that there is no stadium debt payments which LAFC and NYCFC will have. Etihad Stadium has been expanded twice, but I am unable the split between on the payment between the CFG and the City of Manchester.

In new New York stadiums, what was the price increase been for teams moving into new stadiums? I know Yankee Stadium and Citi Field jacked up prices. It was also 2009, so economically that wasn’t the best year to decide to increase prices.

How would everyone feel paying double or triple what that are currently paying? That would be the best case scenario. 4 or 5 times the current rate would be what I would expect from their past business practices.

Best place to see a match in England.

i'd be cancelling my season tickets if they jacked up the price that much. there's absolutely no reason for them to do that even with a new stadium complex. i'd take my chances on the resale market and go to away games lol.
