I don't think there is much certainty yet. There is a substantial number of absentee ballots that won't even arrive for several days. I've read speculation that those should favor Garcia, but who know, and the ranked choices are, I believe, a complete mystery that will be impossible to predict. So is it all but officially Adams?
I've never really followed a ranked choice race before so it's hard to see how this goes, but id suspect that Wiley was less likely to be the second choice of as many voters.
Maybe the Yankees realized that it's worth more to them to have us rent the stadium for $1M a game...

NY Times says "ranked-choice vote counts not expected until June 29"I don't think there is much certainty yet. I heard this from just about everyone. With Adams, everything is for sale. Think the mayor in the Wire...So the candidate in first place hasn’t commented on the stadium and the one in second is opposed to the stadium. Yikes.
Adams is basically the political equivalent of “Eff you pay me!” right? So who from CFG is greasing his wheels?

I'll have some other notes and thoughts on this that didn't quite make it into the story out on twitter later.
damn, feels like like they got to work on goodwill all over again. still puzzling why the changes last minute, like how can it not be reviewed before hand? Now they would have to really sweeten the deal for CB to approve since it feels like they been played.
this kind of bs, after the yankees screwed the community with the new yankee stadium, is enough to kill any stadium project in the south bronx completely. unless they bend over backwards to give the community all their demands and more, we might never get a stadium. and by "they" it'll probably be CFG because the yankees seem like they couldn't care less even though they should.
There have been plenty of other meetings I’ve been on, including NYCIDA board meetings where unsolicited they’ve referred to the Yankees as “absent neighbors”.it seems CFG didnt do their research with the yankees when looking for someone to partner with to try and lobby with local politicians or Board.

So what is the overall gut feeling now? This not gonna happen because of what transpired yesterday?
