i vaguely recall an old factory area in jamaica that was allegedly considered, i think they even made a Red bull arena comparison on it on one of the threads here. this was in like 2017 or so.

I think you're thinking of the Elmhurst Dairy. That's next to York College where QFC is planning to build their stadium.

Ah, I didn't realize that. They're literally right next to each other, like three blocks apart.

Yes, a different site, just a few blocks away. Hardly matters as I doubt the neighborhood could handle both. I also see nowhere near enough space to have any parking there at all. It's pretty far out. At least some people would want to drive, even from parts of Queens. And Westchester? Lol.

Is it just me or is there a lot of attempts to raise the temperature around the stadium (Ian yelling that it’s the city’s fault, Gasparino saying the deal is dead, etc)? And this is mostly driven by Levine/Yankees trying to control the narrative/blame others?

this smells like last minute arguing to gain that last edge before you finally compromise where everyone is a little unhappy but there is too much benefit (cough $$$ cough) to be made to really kill it over one single thing.

It feels like the Yankees and their shitty media hack friends are trying to fuck the community to have this done their way. I want this done, but this is kind of disgusting. And now they’re turning their media network against the Club we support.
I hate to say this, but CFG is kind of a victim here is the way I see it.

in a way, if they did their homework they would know how the yankees did their stadium business. and it was probably not the way to go in terms of a business partner. Of course the wilpons would probably not of been any better at the time.

the question here is if they do want to go to another borough would nycfc be kicked out of YS and then its full time at RBA ?

Idk where else to post this, but am I the only one that thinks most of our chants are awful? Half the chants you have no idea what they're saying or singing, and there's nothing "Simple" enough to rile up the crowd. I've noticed the few times people started chanting something like "N - Y - C, N - Y - C" it's worked and a lot of people around the stadium joined in.

What’s the song they sing in Spanish that they sing at most South American games?

It’s tough when your decision makers are 5 and 9 hours away

Yea - we have a couple songs that the crowd can join in on.. like the "come on new york.. wooooh oh oh ohooooh..." that's easy. anybody can join. some of the songs with actual verses - way too long for crowds to join in. That's ok if there's a big supporter's section and they're all singing it but from the opposite side of the stadium, sometimes it's hard to hear them if they all aren't.

I'm not sure what the dynamic is between the different supporter groups, but that could also be a reason why it doesn't all sound as good as it could. we have... 3 different groups? I don't know if there is a leader that starts the chants and gets everyone on the same page, but sometimes they sound really out of sync. lol.

the classic "N-Y-C" is great. when we were down to 9 men vs NJRB that one night and the whole stadium was chanting simple things like "N-Y-C" and "GO BACK TO NEW JERSEY".. it made the stadium atmosphere feel absolutely amazing and definitely gave our team that extra boost of energy and adrenaline .

I want a “believe” chant like RSL’s. Something unique that the team could help produce via the big video board. If you’ve never heard it, it’s very cheesy but super recognizable by the whole fan base because it’s set to music and the lyrics are shown so everyone could figure it out. If you get a chance to visit the RioT, definitely try it!
