There's the one that goes like "vamos celestes esta noche tenemos que ganar" which means "Let's go <celestes?? light blues?> tonight we've gotta win"What’s the song they sing in Spanish that they sing at most South American games?
And then there's the other one they sing that I have no idea. But it's not good. And very unoriginal.
Yea - we have a couple songs that the crowd can join in on.. like the "come on new york.. wooooh oh oh ohooooh..." that's easy. anybody can join. some of the songs with actual verses - way too long for crowds to join in. That's ok if there's a big supporter's section and they're all singing it but from the opposite side of the stadium, sometimes it's hard to hear them if they all aren't.
I'm not sure what the dynamic is between the different supporter groups, but that could also be a reason why it doesn't all sound as good as it could. we have... 3 different groups? I don't know if there is a leader that starts the chants and gets everyone on the same page, but sometimes they sound really out of sync. lol.
the classic "N-Y-C" is great. when we were down to 9 men vs NJRB that one night and the whole stadium was chanting simple things like "N-Y-C" and "GO BACK TO NEW JERSEY".. it made the stadium atmosphere feel absolutely amazing and definitely gave our team that extra boost of energy and adrenaline .
Exactly. These are the kinds of things that take a 13,000 Yankee Stadium to feeling like more. When everyone's chipping in to a bigger picture. It sounds half the time like the supporter section is just as confused about what's being sung and when. Something needs to b e done about it, as that's also something that helps with the atmosphere.
Atlanta does the viking drum thing with "ATL". There have got to be things that we can do at our stadium that are easy to recognize or join if you've never heard them before.
