What’s the song they sing in Spanish that they sing at most South American games?
There's the one that goes like "vamos celestes esta noche tenemos que ganar" which means "Let's go <celestes?? light blues?> tonight we've gotta win"
And then there's the other one they sing that I have no idea. But it's not good. And very unoriginal.

Yea - we have a couple songs that the crowd can join in on.. like the "come on new york.. wooooh oh oh ohooooh..." that's easy. anybody can join. some of the songs with actual verses - way too long for crowds to join in. That's ok if there's a big supporter's section and they're all singing it but from the opposite side of the stadium, sometimes it's hard to hear them if they all aren't.

I'm not sure what the dynamic is between the different supporter groups, but that could also be a reason why it doesn't all sound as good as it could. we have... 3 different groups? I don't know if there is a leader that starts the chants and gets everyone on the same page, but sometimes they sound really out of sync. lol.

the classic "N-Y-C" is great. when we were down to 9 men vs NJRB that one night and the whole stadium was chanting simple things like "N-Y-C" and "GO BACK TO NEW JERSEY".. it made the stadium atmosphere feel absolutely amazing and definitely gave our team that extra boost of energy and adrenaline .

Exactly. These are the kinds of things that take a 13,000 Yankee Stadium to feeling like more. When everyone's chipping in to a bigger picture. It sounds half the time like the supporter section is just as confused about what's being sung and when. Something needs to b e done about it, as that's also something that helps with the atmosphere.

Atlanta does the viking drum thing with "ATL". There have got to be things that we can do at our stadium that are easy to recognize or join if you've never heard them before.

well that's what i mean. i'm not sure what the dynamic between the different supporter groups are.. but it doesn't seem like they are all on the same page. It seems like templados are in charge of the drums but most of the songs they sing are from the third rail? i don't know. Just speculating. Sitting on the other side of the stadium, it doesn't sound like they are chanting and singing constantly, which they may be doing. I just don't hear it. (maybe i'm going deaf in my old age). When they're all on the same page, it's loud and great to hear. When they do that song and go into the "ole ole oleeeeee" and only a small bunch of them are jumping around, just doesn't have the same effect.

I guess i'm just being picky. But compared to other supporters in the league, we just aren't as organized or committed en masse. 3252 is made up of a handful of different supporter groups, yet they are all in sync and are insanely entertaining to watch. win or lose, they are singing. respect.

Honestly the supporter groups need to hire people who know and actually do some coordination training of some sort. Make it an event for supporters to attend, maybe even get the club in on it and bring some players along. Get people to be in sync. It would help SO much.

Come on New York is the one thing that I feel like the rest of the stadium frequently joins in on -- or at least claps along. Everything else is just the bleachers singing and the rest of the stadium sitting there watching the game.

"While the Yankees would lose this parking, they would keep Garage 3 and the lots on River Avenue and the Harlem River. Those places only allot to 5,182 parking spots, not the 5,500 spaces the Yankees want."

"But according to a source with knowledge of the negotiations, if the Yankees had dropped their demand for 5,500 parking spots, then the project would have moved forward."

"Typically, there are only 3,500 spots used for Yankee games and in 2018 the average occupancy of the lots was just 36%."

The Yankees don't even need 5,500 parking spots. This is all posturing. They are realizing having a separate stadium in the Bronx would hurt their bottom line.

"Levine told the Bronx Times that he and his colleagues were under the impression the new stadium was going to happen and everyone is shocked at what has transpired. While Levine thinks the deal is dead, the city is still willing to come to the table and work things out"

Randy Levine, pulls a last minute change, the deals falls through, what a fucking hypocrite...

So if the Yankees always had an issue with the missing 300 parking spots, how would this have ever moved forward in the first place?

This is the best piece on this so far, though I will say the detail about what the Yankees want isn't exactly right.

nobody at the Yankees can do math and figure out how many parking spaces are in the garages that will stay? “There aren’t 5500 spaces, I’m shocked! Deal off.”

They only had what eight years to count parking spaces??

Idk if this is good or bad or what to make of this. The Yankees just need to man up and say screw the parking spaces.

if those numbers in prior posts are correct, it's not about saying "screw the parking spaces" but just for the yankees to be reasonable in their demands. if the yankees are raising a stink to kill a deal over a little over 300 parking spots, that's just unreasonable.

looking forward for soup's writeup though! i don't trust these other "journalists" who get their stories only from the yankees source.

To tie the current two conversations going on the board of 1) chants/song for fans while at YS stadium and 2) a new stadium. We can do a call and response of: One section can yell "Where is our stadium", and the other half of the stadium can respond with "Yankees Sucks!". Security can't kick out half the people in attendance can they?

What would be an epic back and forth chant at Yankee Stadium for an NYCFC game.
