On that second point, I am hearing it is a majestic design that will surprise many when revealed. Not just a soccer specific stadium but something more ambitious.

I like it. However, the problem with people giving their opinions on these thing is that you never know if your opinion will match theirs. I won't get my hopes up or down on design until I see it so i don't over-hype myself or anything
What does this mean? Google is turning up a bunch of stuff about school curriculum design when I search the phrase

Turns out I made it up. What I meant to say is that I hope that we plan things like housing and retail on top of the stadium as an efficient use of space.
An efficient use of space is a half dozen empanada stands on each concourse.
woudnt we be better off putting the stadium on top of the retail, office, hotel?

On the timing of this article coming out the same day as the RBA news ...
NY Times asks NYCFC if they would like to comment on a story.
NYCFC says they'll provide a comment on Friday if NY Times agrees to hold off "printing".
NY Times agrees because it's better to have NYCFC quoted in the story.
RBA news comes out. NYCFC gives their quote. NY Times article is printed.

Any team that puts New York on their Shirt has invested their brand ID in not being from Jersey, no matter where they play. But my larger point is that within 30 seconds I was able to come up with three more consequential branding crises than a single match played in NJ.
