Anyone know if it is possible to contact a seller on StubHub and if so how? Someone sells the five seats next to my two season tickets for every game and I wanted to buy the one or two seats next to mine for some upcoming games so I can take additional folks. I wouldn't want to end up with anyone in between (you would think people would be happy to switch but a recent rejected request on a flight convinces me that some people are nuts).

As for the StubHub question, you can include a message when you purchase the tix. I would ask him next time you purchase and include your contact info.

As for the plane issue, I fly 2-3 weeks a month for my job. Good seats these days are like gold. If you asked the person to move to a middle seat, well, you're on your own there!!! LOL ;)

Thanks. It was actually the guy sitting in the aisle seat when I was sitting right next to him across the aisle in the same aisle seat, same row. He was sitting next to the two guys I was traveling with. They asked him before he sat down whether he would mind taking my aisle seat so we could sit together. He said no. I get it if it's changing to a middle seat or an aisle or window, but not the very same seat in the same row.

Yeah, that's weird..........

I hope you and your buddies talked loudly across him and passed things back and forth with annoying frequency.

The NY Times had a whole article about people refusing to change seats these days. Some have paid extra for a seat, and others took time to reserve them well in advance. Most, however, are just dicks.

I was flying back from Phoenix with my lovely wife and 3 small children. We had reserved seats together months in advance. When we got to the airport, however, we were scattered all over the plane. Our 2-year-old and 4-year-old were by themselves. The airline, which we shall call Airline X (even though their real name is USAir), was completely unhelpful and told us we had to deal with it on the plane. The stewardesses were then pissed at the gate agents for passing the problem off on them. Fortunately, the passengers were very gracious, and we were able to get each kid next to a grown up. If we had encountered some of the jerks from the NY Times article, it would have been a bad scene.

Anecdotal to be sure, but every time I have been asked to move and agreed, which I do most of the time, I have ended up better off than if I didn't. Once I even agreed to switch from aisle to middle seat for a family like Gator's. But then the seats on both sides of me ended up empty and I had the whole row to myself on a plane that was 90+% full. Is it karma, or the crew arranging things behind the scenes? I don't know.
Still, spare some understanding for those who refuse to switch. As I said I have done it more than not, but when I didn't I had a reason.

The persons name who sold the tickets will be printed on the PDF tickets you receive when you buy them.

Once you have the queue social media stalking.
