Okay, so he's here officially on loan for one year from Man City as a non-DP.
All MLS loans have a buy clause in them. Why can't we "buy" him from Man City and then just "sell" him back at a higher price to get us some sweet GAM?
Buy for $2M, sell for $5M. Net spend of $3M, getting us the maximum GAM from transfers.

I think that's a major reason for the sign and loan. That way, the transfer fee doesn't hit the books. And the kid is a recently discovered 19 year old - he's not going to be on a $500k+ annual wage.
Does that apply to loanees from Man City? I was never really clear on what exactly it meant that we could take up to four on loan
