Patrick Vieira Appointed As NYCFC Coach

So you are equating the proportional difference in progression between Vieira and Zidane to NYCFC and Madrid? I think not.
ManCity or something similar to Real, buddy. As PV, if he does well, will certainly take over some big European club. But he is not fully at that point yet. So I discounted that forward potential path into his present value. Compare this to Zidane's present value which includes his current position at Real and potential ascension(limited) and potential downfall. So yeah, proportional is about right, wouldn't you agree?

No, buddy, I wouldn't.

Look what I found. Man that Inter team had NAMES.
Start from 3:50 then skip to 6:34

That video made me teary-eyed. There were big names on there.

The Juventus squad he was on was stacked too in 05-06. That's the year they won the title but was ultimately stripped cause of the Calciopoli scandal.

Interesting article from the Times (London, not NY) about Vieira and his step up to NYC if anyone wants to read it.

It's nominally behind a paywall but the link should sidestep it. If anyone has any issues, let me know and I can transcribe.
Obviously I am super biased, but I think he made the right move coming here instead of going into the EPL with zero first team experience. I didn't know he had offers from the Championship though. Zidane is going to be a disaster at Real IMHO especially with his hands tied because of that transfer ban.

It says he's flying back to London tomorrow to receive an award..... if he didn't get out yesterday, or fly direct from Florida, he's going to have to accept it in absentia..... whiteout conditions all around

There's a white-out in Florida?

How great are Vieira's press conferences after last year. He is positive, talks about what he is trying to do. What a change from the clenched jaw and shitting on the players from last year.
Didn't see the Presser but after the meet & greet at the pub, I can easily envision his courteous behavior answering questions. He gets it - NYC requires a certain type of coach that endears themselves to the fan base and seems somewhat approachable while not acting morally superior..... the AntiKreis.....

Exactly. I was watching the replay of the pub talk with my wife, and she said something along the lines of the following about PV: "the new coach really is so likeable and charming, unlike that guy from last year."

Between my wife's comments regarding the players - TMac as a penguin was money (she also said he runs the same way she envisions her older, non-athletic sister running if she could run) - and yours discussing PV, I'm pretty sure our wives could team up and have their own 30min Team recap each week.

Strange met him many times after the games at city always found him to be pretty arrogant and evasive
