Following a trip to Vancouver, this is the first of three matches at home during a 8 game stretch.

DISCO gave Rooney an extra game and took no other action after Week 25.
The implication is that DISCO is done for the week, though I'm wondering because the Rooney game was midweek. But as written, the article implies Matarrita will be out for Vancouver but back for this game.

Even though they gave him a yellow and a red, and he was already on 4 yellows?

Well, that could still be possible and wouldn't be a DISCO result I guess so we can't rule it out. But someone was concerned he could get extra games for the headbutt and at least maybe that's not going to happen.

DISCO doesn’t have anything to do with 2 games for the simultaneous yellow card accumulation and straight red. That’s just automatic.

As to whether Mata gets extra punishment for the head butt, sometimes DISCO waits while a player serves a suspension before making a decision. I would be surprised if he got extra time off. He just knocked Murillo in the chest. It was never going to hurt him, although it may have caused things to escalate.

ETA: That strikes me as rather harsh on Rooney. Yes, it was a red, but is it really worse than the typical red for violent conduct? Note that Rooney is being pulled by a Red Bulls player into the other Red Bulls player. I honestly think he was throwing up his arm to cushion the collision. Now, he is still responsible for his arm and where it goes, but I don’t see why that’s a 2-game suspension.

Players out: Johnson, Mata, Callens, Chanot, Heber, Ofori (?), Isi (?)

Who’s left?

Mitrita, please pick up the white courtesy phone.

Mitrita - Castellanos - GMS
Maxi - Parks - Ring
Rocha - Sweat - Ibby - Tinny
Stuver

Bench: Barraza, Medina, Miller, JPT.... (Maybe Shradi or Scally are back???)

What would be my best guess. It's not a terrible lineup vs New England.

So, either Ring plays CB with Sweat sliding out to FB - or we have Miller at LB. My bet is on the second option - Miller at LB.

ETA: We will have the same issues when we face Toronto, which worries me a lot more. Don't want such a potentially soft back line against those dudes.

Rocha now gone too. He was called up to Belize.

I forgot Haak got called up from the U20s...

I think Miller has experience at CB. I wish the club would ask some of these guys to stay back.

We’re going 0/3

Not having stadium really sucks and hurting more this year

we also have the second rounder defender that we drafted playing in memphis, the dude is a starter there, and mempis has little hope of playoff spot

Can anyone on this forum play CB or LB? please raise your hand.
