NYCFC Sign Heber

The interview is great. I love that he says he always wants to find himself in the box, because its where he does his best work. How desperate have we been with that? Taty, Maxi, Mitri have all found themselves a bit awkward in the center since they're used to making runs from the wings and Maxi usually works 25-30 yards out, not in the Penalty area. If Heber can find any space between the 6 and top of the 18, he could feast with the talent we have on the wings. Makes me giddy since he seems like a strong finisher with a nose for the ball.

Maybe we’ll just attempt a Flying V formation
Would be totally into that. Rock on!

he essentially did what villa did. started as a striker who migrates towards the left wing, opening space in the middle for central runs and then can manipulate the situation.

So we need a central midfielder who can make late runs into the box? Peeping Lampard!

We have an outside defender that enjoys making late runs in to the box - will that suffice?

Article came out in the Athletic. Don’t want to post the whole thing since it’s behind a paywall. But thought this excerpt was worth discussion.

In Héber, NYCFC finds a potential solution at the No. 9 position

1. So this was Dome’s pick after seeing the scouting reports. We can then also infer that all these signings are Dome’s. So what’s for Reyna exactly do then?

2. $2.5mm transfer fee. scenaio A: 4 year deal. Then it’s $625,000 per annum in transfer fee and he’s making up to $900k per annum in salary. Or scenario B: 3 year deal. It’s $833,333 in transfer fee and he’s earning up to $700,000 per annum.

At the end of the article Dome says he’s very interested in making a move for a Euro player this summer.
