2015 Concacaf Gold Cup Thread

No, they would because CONCACAF. I think UEFA would do the same thing too if it was going to be Azerbaijan - Belarus rather than Spain - Azerbaijan in the Euros Final.
They didn't get to Geiger and here's how you know. He had plenty of opportunities to give Panama players second yellows which would have been completely legitimate. Geiger was calling the game straight up to keep the refs from unduly influencing the outcome.

If anything you could make a case that the line judge, who was the one who made the call, was paid off and that was his one chance to have an impact. But that also sounds suspect. If that were really the case you'd have to think that kind of thing would have shown up before the 122nd minute.

It was just a bad call. Happens all the time. Just horrible to happen 6 seconds before the final whistle probably would have been blown.

Mexico wins the Gold Cup with a convincing 3-1 victory over Jamaica. The Regea Boys never looked like they were in the match as El Tri controlled the flow of play from start to finish.

With the victory Mexico sets up a matchup with USA for a spot in the confederations cup.

When lots of $$$$$ are involved any dirty deed is possible. Look not to far to south of the border, Who would had thought that a tunnel 21 x 21 in width the biggest bad ass drug capo escaped from supposedly a top security prison?

In the Gold Cup results its not only money its also a matter of image, having a stadium with capacity for 80 k and only 30 k show up its a pitiful image to the football, federation and sponsor brands. Winners want to be with winners. All tickets may be sold but nationalism is a bigger emotion than spending a a few hundred dollars on tickets that a fan will let go to waste... few Mexican or American, will spend their time seeing Jamaica or Panama at the stadium. they will most likely stay at home and watch it on TV if at all.

Anyway conspiracy theories add spice to life when sitting bored on a bar.
