Could be a mixed bag that they want some WC influence in the kits. The 2018 update will be the Scondary Kit, so one easily "discardable" by the club if it doesn't fly.

The Nike template is so blah.....New Melbourne City home kit. They are sticking with white as the primary color accented with sky blue. Good for them. Nice kit IMO.
They're sticking with white because they have to. Sydney FC blocked them from having a sky blue kit as well.

I would be down with the 2017 kit doing away with the Adidas stripes and putting a subtle Yankee's pinstripe design from underarm down with the rest of the kit resembling the training kits we have right now.
Nike will be Nike.
