MLB schedule has been out for months, so that's already known.

The NFL and NCAA Football calendar may be the tricker ones considering both expansion teams are playing shared stadiums, one of which is currently building but. Nonetheless, I'm sure that's already been sorted out.

Algorithms.

A very interesting episode of Extra Time Radio: http://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2016/...referral&utm_content=news&utm_campaign=unpaid

I'm listening right now and Matt Doyle reads off a list of questions that NYCFC have to answer in the offseason from "If Patrick Vieira will be back?" to "What's our identity?" He also called out Eirik Johansen saying he had three poor performances. (Screw You Doyle!)
I generally like Doyle and don't get all worked up about him being just a mouthpiece for some MLS agenda. But, this episode really struck me as showing the challenges of trying to analyze an entire league with any depth, even when it is your full-time job. Really felt like they were off the mark in terms of where the issues lie with this team and dramatically overstating the long-term effect of the result against Toronto, the psychological effect that Vieira's first leg tactics, etc. It was all so hyperbolic and silly.

alright, so what are your guys predictions on pre season....i assume we close with the desert cup but where will they do pre season training? manchester? or florida? 2016 we got about 6 pre season games.

Almost certainly warm weather training to help restore the players' fitness so I don't see it happening in Manchester. The last two seasons have seen pre-season in the south, and the Desert Cup fits right in with that. Maybe find a location nearby in Arizona with facilities similar to the IMG Academy?

Doyle's questions are way better than Twellman's "THEY CAN'T DEFEND! THEY CAN'T DEFEND!" ranting about how NYCFC "can't defend at Yankee Stadium!" Guess that's why they went undefeated there over eight games to go into the playoffs.

Doyle is a good analyst, but he also jumps to conclusions way too quickly. He already said that NYCFC won't be any better in 2017. Jeez, how about waiting to see what players they may sign and their changes in the offseason?

He's just hurt that he picked NYCFC to win MLS Cup and they are out.

Doyle is definitely not a good Analyst. He wasn't right about NYCFC once this season which is quite sad and pathetic considering it's his job and this forum knew the team's pulse from the get-go.

Doyle is good about calling out the tactical side of the game and calling out where one team's tactics worked well. Keep in mind he looks after all teams so you can't expect the same level of detail that we give here.

Doyle is not good at predictions. He also falls in love with certain players and gets "analyst goggles" for them (see: Patrick Mullins/Marlon Hairston). He also over-values US players and young player potential.

Would like to know the impetus of that interview.

I wouldn't mind if he did a Clint Dempsey style 8 week loan there. That would be great.

But if we're headed to China, no way he's not on that plane.
