2017 Preseason Thread

About 2,300 feet. That is less than half the elevation of DSG in Colorado, and 1/3 of Azteca.
Not sure how much impact that level has on the body.

Honestly 2300 feet has a pretty marginal effect on performance. The real break point, from a human body performance perspective, seems to be around 5000 feet and above. With every 1000 feet above 5000 providing an additional 3% drop in performance, some of which can be clawed back with acclimatization.

How crazy does this sound...

Mix plays all three (or four) games in Tucson to show (hopefully) his level of skill in order to shop him around to the other teams attending (and in the league).

Maybe we'll have one of those scenarios where Mix ends up on a different team at halftime while we're playing them.

And then he scores a hat trick against us??

Does a player have to agree to be a DP, or can the team assign the status? And if it's the latter, which one of you wants to run an analysis of the potential benefits of designating Mix as a DP while he's in exile?

Pretty sure a player has to sign a specific DP contract. [see LA/VanDamme]

In a sane world, Mix would definitely play every game this week with the 1st team in order to highlight his ability and raise his transfer value. What we'll likely see is either no game time or limited time with the subs.

Edit: considering he's not played any with the team this preseason, any game time he gets will look bad, and he'll be set up to fail thus justifying he's not able to mesh. He's in a lose-lose situation being invited in 2-3 weeks after everybody else.
