Was this ever confirmed?
We know that it will be before the draft which is on Friday plus the tweet

I'm going to be in Chicago beginning of May and Florida for a few weeks in July. I'd love to see them play in both places.

That can be read to mean "sometime between now and the draft", or it could be read to mean "on the day of the draft, right before it starts".
I am guessing it is supposed to be the later.
We're very fortunate to have so many teams nearby... You got 5 teams within a 5 hour drive.
The press release did say that, but the article MLS posted to its own website was stealth edited. It originally said the same thing but was changed to say just "next month." They can't stealth edit the press release or reporters would scorch them. And so has RSL. In a more recent tweet yesterday when someone else asked when the schedule would be released they hedged "hopefully Thursday"
I think Thursday is the plan but they are not sure they will be ready. My guess now is that coordinating the TV input to the schedule is the last piece. They just made a new deal in Canada this week.

Conundrum
Hopefully it's early tomorrow rather than waiting and refreshing Twitter all day afternoon.
Or announced for noon. But then pushed back prompting hours of waiting-themed gifs and memes, and furious taps on F5. And then released at 3pm.
Last year it was supposed to be 2pm and ended up closer to 4pm, which led to:
