2018 Schedule

Here are the possible windows for when we could play at home, based on the Yankees schedule and assuming a 48-hour turnaround time.
It's 72-hours. I'm guessing that by saying 48 hours you mean there has to be 2 off days in between, and figured everything correctly. But with 2 days off you have roughly 72 hours from the end of one game and the start of the next. If it were only 48 hours you would only need one day off. EG NYCFC play Saturday afternoon, 72 hours after the soccer game ends it's Tuesday night. And in fact whenever the Yanks return from a road trip and their first home game is Tuesday night NYCFC plays Saturday afternoon. If they only needed 48 hours the soccer game could be Saturday night or Sunday afternoon.

We could also just play a few at Citi if need be.

someone mentioned on twitter that due to the "success" of the citi field game that the FO is probably thinking of having a RB game this year at citi field.

Don't think Yankees give up the food and beverage sales from that game.

i dont think it will happen but it would not be too much of a reach for it to happen. maybe they schedule a RB game in October when yankees are expected to be in playoffs to have one of the last home games.

But they would have to refund all the tickets and suites for that match and there's no guarantee they'd make that money back and more importunately get more from having the game at Citi Field.

didnt stop them twice before. and here they have time to make "adjustment" if need be....again this is all just a coming from someones twitter idea on what the FO is thinking. so nothing will probably come from this.

Those were based on actual unavailability of Yankee Stadium. If they choose to move a game from Yankee Stadium for no other reason than to have the game at Citi Field that would upset a lot of season ticket holders.

But I see your point.

It might excite a few of us season ticket holders too.

Yeah, for some reason I went with 48 hours when I did this last year, so I stuck with it. Apparently, we did do a 2-day turnaround the first year, at least.

I did note that a couple of places where the window ends on a Saturday need to be taken with a grain of salt.

Perhaps they might pre-emptively schedule a game or two at Citi Field in October. The Yankees seem a really good bet to be in the playoffs, and attendance will be all the better if the game is set to be there all along.

Just to be clear. We’re already writing off the Mets chances of making the playoffs 5 months before the season even starts.

There is a reason the Mets are conspicuously close to Jets.

They suck, and always will!

He was also the first one to tweet about the home openers. I take him at his word. Then again, delays...

its normally second week in January these get released.....but remember they say at 2PM then it gets released until like 6PM so delays are possible.
