Do we think we're done for this window?
Realistically, the only other player we've been linked to publicly is Christensen. I'm not sure he's such a big position of need this season. When you consider 6/8s of Ring, Keaton, Ofori, Sands, we should be set the rest of the season without missing much of a beat with spot starts.

But I’d love an under the radar LB upgrade.

Agree with both adam adam and Ulrich Ulrich

I don’t see the move out though. Medina? Not Matarrita unless we have a replacement.

Medina. And as crazy as it sounds, my dark horse is Mitrita.

He’s selfish, argues with teammates, and has a low-energy motor when off the ball. The Romanian league is starting back up, so sell to Bucharest United Vampires or whatever team is over there - he gets a clean slate in a league he’s familiar with that plays less stout defense, and it frees NYCFC up to bring in a legit DP now that euro leagues are in hiatus.

Gray? Another HG?

Assuming everyone is 100 percent, I’d still like another striker and possibly a center back just so we have enough for the crazy amount of matches late in the season and then a playoff run.

It's a little harsh to be this rough on him 17 games into his first season w/NYCFC. Can we give the guy a chance?

You've gotta show more by this point for that kind of money. I've got patience for non-DP players, but DP'S have to be an immediate impact player. We overpaid, can't change that, but we can move on.

Exactly. Every forward on the team has more G/A than Mitrita does and in fewer minutes/games. They all also run their asses off and don’t argue with their teammates. Mitrita is behind the 8-ball as far as pulling his weight, which isn’t high to begin with at 145/5’5”

We were saying the same thing about Maxi Moralez his entire first year with us. Now he's indispensable. Give the guy a chance like we gave Maxi a chance.

Maxi still had a solid year 1, and actually the majority on here saw that. A few vocal critics were around, but that was mainly (imo) because he wasn't a highlight reel player. While his first year was quieter than subsequent years, he was still a lockdown starter and a key part of the team that year.
Mitrita probably doesn't belong in our XI right now.

So our transfer strategy is to entice young talent from untapped overseas markets and develop them into players who could one day play in Europe, but also to immediately sell them at a loss if they don't tear up the league within six months?
