My cockles are warmed, too. We’ve come so far as a fanbase. All this optimism warms my heart.
Nope. Like all of our three game weeks are I. The last third of the season. This is the season where it's been during the offseason where the implosion has happened first. Hey, something new!
1. Signing Keaton Parks (MF, 21, FIFA rating 69) on 1 year loan from Benfica
He was not in the lineup for Benfica B squad, and it's reported he's in NYC at the moment. (1/11)
2. Re-signing Yangel Herrera (MF, 21, FIFA rating 68)
It's confirmed that he has been transferred from ManCity to La Liga's Huesca (1/15)
3. Releasing Jo Inge Berget (F, 28, FIFA rating 70)
It's been reported, but not confirmed. News was he is returning to Malmo. Someone tweeted a link that shows he's now listed as a player on the Malmo site (1/15). *I can't figure out how to find it on my own. (mff.se)
4. Signing Lucas Venuto (F, 23, FIFA rating 70) from Vienna.
Rumored he would be signed by NYCFC (1/7)
5. Signing Justin Haak (MF, 16, FIFA rating NA) to 1st squad contract.
Reyna mentioned there would be 2 more HG signing on his ETR interview. Haak has long believed to be one of them along with Kwaka Owusu (1/14)
6. Signing Gary Mackay-Steven (W, 28, FIFA rating 72) from Aberdeen
Yesterday the Daily Mail ran an article where they said NYCFC did contact him, but his manager is trying to keep him. (1/15) https://dailynewsappraisal.com/aber...tough-task-to-keep-winger-gary-mackay-steven/
7. NYCFC own the 19th pick in the MLS Super Draft tomorrow.
We traded away $75k in GAM to move up a few spots to take a backup keeper. (1/11)
8. Signing Kevin Quevedo (MF, 21, FIFA rating NA) from Alianza Lima
Kristan Dyer reported that NYCFC is no longer interested in him. Multiple sites report he's not going to MLS. (1/13)
Oh my god. This is a new low even for NYCFC comms.
Are all former Malmo players on the site, or is this just a complete shitshow on the part of NYCFC?
LollllllllllllllllOh my god. This is a new low even for NYCFC comms.
yeah I was going to say something similar- If you look at the "player stats" they end when Berget came to NYCFC (idk about tinnerholm) and there are no stats of the past season which makes me just think they haven't updated the page since he left. They stuck "went to NYCFC" and then the page is just sitting there. If he was actually back, they would have updated the stats to the most recent, as well. Not unless there's a whole lot more to this story that we don't know.
The team is either shifting to youth development and we’ll see the likes of Lewis and Sands receiving a lot of minutes or we’ll just suck while they rot on the bench.
