perhaps the optimist in me believes that it was to replace goals, and as others mentioned since we play different without villa, maybe it wont be one person it will be multiple 12 isi, 11 new guy, maybe 6-8 ish from others etc.

Wallace’s production will be very hard to replace.

Piatek almost joined MLS but teams didn’t want to pay for a guy because they didn’t think he’d translate in a stronger league. Maybe CFG doesn’t want to make that mistake.
