If we're not a playoff team and no stars are signed for next season, I bet you could buy tickets for $5 in most of YS by the end of next year. If you're not at the front of the line of founding members, there is absolutely no reason to hold onto season tickets. Just buy them on the secondary market for a fraction of the price when you want to go.

no, but being ST is pretty pricey for the amount tickets go on sale at like stub hub etc. you get some events and meet and greets that are pretty cool but like thats it.
If I kept mine, this would not have changed that. Dropping a season ticket because a player left is ridiculous. Players retire all the time, and new ones come in their place. That has nothing, in my opinion, to do with keeping season tickets, but maybe I'm just crazy?

Agreed, but being able to get the same tickets for 1/2 - 1/3 the price is a reason to drop them. Team needs to adjust its pricing based on demand.
Yep. That's a valid reason to drop. That's why I dropped it in my current student state. But players leaving/joining imo isn't the best reason to drop, that just means the person wanted to drop anyway and needed some excuse to drop.
I agree, but I would advise ANY founding member to keep their status as cheaply as possible since I'm sure MANY founding members are long gone and thus pushed all founding members ahead in the pecking order.

Unless you’re at the very front. You can probably get most any seat you want if you sign up again right before the first season at the new stadium. And don’t for a second think they won’t be offering crazy incentive programs then that will piss a bunch of us off who were here since day 1. Think beaniegate x 100.

It wouldn't have changed my choice either. I'd actual be excited with an open DP going into renewals.
BUT...If they gave Villa's DP spot to Herrera, I'd 100% not have renewed.

The club tried to artificially boost STH numbers the first season. They did things like allow anyone who even bought a ticket to the last home match count as a founding member. It was rediculous. But what really pissed a bunch of us off was when they offered a beanie with a Christmas ticket package when there wasn’t any NYCFC swag produced yet. So no NYCFC beanies exisited or could be bought by the public. And STHs from day 1 had to buy a package of extra tickets if they wanted one. We felt like they were so focused on gaining new fans, they took us for granted. And the club didn’t even play a match yet.
I had my seat assignment call today. I'm happy with my seat location but was curious to see what was available. I was offered first row seats but at the end of the row. I quickly declined. We have a good group that sits close together so didn't want to move away from them.
The real bricks were the friends we made along the way.
Dumb question alert. Does the actual section of the SS seats make a difference or is it all GA? I didn't express a preference and got 237.
It's all relatively GA. There are ushers at the top of each section that are supposed to review ticket sections and such, but they tend to allow you through if you have the orange colored supporters section ticket. If they are one of the stringent few, you just go down the staircase for your ticket's section and then walk over a section or two to be with your friends.
Example: Your ticket is 235, but your friends are in 237. Just go to section 235, show ticket, walk down a few stairs, and then walk over/across 236 and then 237 to meet up with said friends.
