No you have to be fully vaccinated, which means it has to be two weeks since your second dose, in order for vaccination to be suitable. Anything before that, you'd have to test negative in order to go to the game.

Thanks, Hopefully, they roll out the Excelsior Pass, the NY app to show your vaccination and test results. I have heard a decent amount of people losing their vacccination card. I know people are taking a picture of it but I don’t think the stadium is going to allow you show a picture of the vaccination card.

Being around 10,000 people is much different than being in a restaurant. While I agree that being outdoors is probably much safer than being indoors at a restaurant, being around 10,000 people is much more dangerous than being around 30 people.

these are the rules for the yankees who start playing on april 1st. by the time our home opener comes around, the rules may very well be different. though the testing and vaccine requirements will probably remain, the capacity may be higher.

it's safer and smarter to open large venues slowly. we're still at way too many cases per day and variant cases are on the rise. sucking it up a little longer so we can snuff this thing out is the smart thing. instead, with some states reopening, spring break, etc, we're going to be dealing with this pandemic and its restrictions for way longer than we really needed to.

I completely disagree with your premise. How many tens of thousands of people were on the beaches last summer and through this pandemic in warm states? Couple that with the fact 50 million Americans have probably had this virus and our vaccination efforts, the rules aren’t based in science or data.

I think your stance is valid but only with reference to the original strain of covid. we have multiple variants now, which we are still learning about and how it effects what we know about natural immunity and vaccine immunity.

i want fans in stadiums too. but slow and steady wins the race here. just because other states want to roll the dice, doesn't mean NY or any other state has to follow.

Would you rather a couple more months of slow reopenings and restrictions lifted, or would you rather risk the potential of another year or more of continued and/or reinstated restrictions and closures due to a variant running rampant? I think the former, while obviously not what we what to hear, is still the better option.

I may have a different opinion in six weeks. But for now, there is just too much of the virus in the community. If we can be patient and hold off for a few more weeks, we will hopefully be in a much better position. Remember how fast things moved last March? I hope things will move pretty quickly once we get to May and June.

It depends how many idiots refuse vaccination. If the virus is still circulating in large numbers, yes we will still have restrictions. If enough people get the vaccine that it is no longer spreading in large numbers, then I think restrictions will start to be lifted.

Potus said he wants states to make everyone eligible for vaccinations in may. In other words, you can schedule an appointment if there are appointments to be bad. Not have everyone vaccinated. Big difference.

I'm not a doctor or an epidemiologist but until, say, 80% of the population is vaccinated we'll all need masks and to be a little cautious. Might need to be only 75%, might need to be 90%, but the point still stands. And just because I'm vaccinated that doesn't mean I won't give it to you, it just means that if I get it I'm most likely not going to die from it. Do you really want to stand next to someone in the hot dog line at the stadium who has it and doesn't yet know they do and yet is still not wearing a mask because freedom? I can't wait to go to the Bel Aire Diner, multiple best-in-New-York winner, to get the best pizza burger in existence, but I'm OK with waiting another six months or a year if I have to.

Just because it's been a year and you happen to feel like it's been enough doesn't mean it makes any kind of sense to "rip off the band aid." We as a country wasted an entire year because the nitwits in charge said it *wasn't real* and did nothing about it. And yet there's countries around the world where they're going to ballgames and parades and bars and restaurants and concerts just like in the old days. But not us, because we wouldn't lock down completely for two months, and test and trace, and also because 1/3 of the population refuses masks and/or vaccinations.

So yes, wear your mask.

It depends how many idiots refuse vaccination. If the virus is still circulating in large numbers, yes we will still have restrictions. If enough people get the vaccine that it is no longer spreading in large numbers, then I think restrictions will start to be lifted.

If I’m vaccinated, why should I be punished? Let those fools all get it and kill each other.
