2025 General MLS Transfer Thread

Atlanta, or something similar, is what we should be. Instead we became David Lee’s social experiment

while i get frustration, i just feel its who ever is in that position will be the same. its CFG who will pull out the wallet ( or not) not lee. He just does what he is given permission to do.

what we should be as a big market team, but it's not entirely Lee's fault. Basically, our primary income is from transfer fees. Atlanta, and other teams, make money from every game since they have their own stadium. more importantly, teams like atlanta have a very strong following while we struggle to be talked about in the same light as the other teams in this town.

having our own stadium should help with income and popularity. the world cup should also help a bit.

Realized we didn't have a thread for 2025 yet and were adding discussions into the 2024 thread.

Lion or Shwafta - if you could move the 2025 stuff to here, please.

Anyway - was just browsing MLS transfer news and saw that Tim Parker is back at the red bulls. I don't know how he is as a person but on the field, he's basically a football player without pads.

Borreal is also off to brazil on a loan. I wonder if their fans are also freaking out that they are transferring out one of their best players....

Most of it was fine in the General MLS Discussion thread, but I've moved it for you.

My first reaction was that it couldn't be us because he's an MLS guy, but then I looked him up:

"Noel Arthur Coleman Buck (born April 5, 2005) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Major League Soccer club New England Revolution. Born in the United States, he is a youth international for England."

It's us they probably want to bubble wrap him for a season and then send him off to play with McFarlane.

Edit: which reminds me, did they ever say what we got for McFarlane, or did we just have to gift him to the mothership for peanuts?
