2026 MLS Regular Season

This new Walmart "experience" with the lafc Miami game is immediately underwhelming, they cut to another camera that offers nothing and does not allow for more interesting commentary (one from a higher angle and one in the supporters) for like 5 seconds. If this is the upgraded viewing experience no thank you

That jives with every Walmart experience I've ever had

supposedly cutting to shots of video using iphones is "enhanced production"

I don't think so. My stream was freezing watching other games too. I think it's first matchday issues. Clicking the LIVE button fixes it for me (i'm watching on PC) but not sure how it behaves on a smart TV.
I'm on a PC too and it's fine now that we're live again. I didn't have any issues with the second early game or MLS 360. Weird.
My feed has been freezing on and off all night. Half time of the Miami match was a total disaster.
LOL as I 'm typing this the picture just froze at 51:50.
My usual suspect is something getting blocked either by uBlock Origin or Norton VPN. Seems to mostly happen at the half. Some games I've had issues and had to close the tab and reopen it and it was fine. Clearing the cache works fine too sometimes.

I kind of like the fact this ref doesn't seem to be star struck. Messi just flopped for at least the 3rd time that I saw and Lauziere kept the whistle in his pocket.
It's been a big factor tonight. Inter Miami was going to have to win on the merits.

Fingers crossed this is the season the refs get fed up with Miami's constant whining. Their new additions didn't waste anytime getting in on the complaining either.

FYI - not showing scores doesn't seem to apply to their SATURDAY SHOWDOWN banner. I assume it won't apply to the SUNDAY NIGHT SOCCER banner either when our game starts.

the crew look like they got some ballers. very good in tight spaces and good dribblers. our defense will be have to be on their A game. I feel like we notoriously fall asleep and let good dribblers and quick passers cut us up.

also - crazy how far gazdag has fallen. from super productive main guy at philly to bit player at the crew.

Not to full certainty but there were times that Doyle referenced things that seemed to come straight from things written here. It might even have been explicit though my memory is not clear on that.
John Muller used the handle dummyrun here. He co-founded The Outfield and later wrote for the Athletic.
@dummyrun = founder of The Outfield?

No shit.

That's pretty cool. Thanks.

Someone wasn't happy about not getting his usual favorable treatment from the refs:

I watched the whole match. There seemed to be three times Messi was irate about not getting the call. All three happened a few yards above to box in an area Messi was clearly hunting for a free kick. The first time the defender got the ball cleanly and the ref made a good call. The second one Messi got clipped and had a decent case that it should have been a foul but it was soft and the ref was consistent in not calling soft fouls all night. The third one that I think he was most upset about because he got hurt, he ran head first into the back of his own teammate.

The reffing was incredibly balanced last night hopefully it continues and wasn't just a one game thing because LAFC also has considerable star power. Miami is so insufferable with their complaining. The worst is all their young guys that whine even more than the stars. Messi is the goat so the entitlement is at least understandable but the young guys act like they are deserving of special treatment just by virtue of association.

On the other side of the pitch Son and Bouanga carry themselves with so much class, their skill and work rates are incredible. If you dropped those two onto our roster in place of any of the premium spots we are wasting on Jovan, Julian and Magno NYCFC would be unstoppable.

Seems like clear favoritism everyone got the memo to get their stories straight. as other players have gotten multi game suspensions for similar incidents. That said it has to be a tough call for the league, imagine shelling out $$$$ to take you kid to see Messi in an upcoming game only for him to get suspended.

does colorado suck again?

seattle absolutely going ham on them ....

and the second goal was disallowed. so far this ref and VAR are doing a horrendous job, imo.
