It appears that Union/Cin didn't announce their moves until Wednesday 11/26/25 at 3pm/4pm. So I wouldn't be surprised if the team can wait until Wednesday as well to announce the moves.

Today, New York City FC announced its roster options ahead of the 2026 season. Prince Amponsah, Alex Rando gone.
Otherwise all exercised.
Maxi and Haak in contract discussions, and perea is... Idk?
Most interesting is this one.
"Andrés Perea also had his option declined, but the Club remains in negotiations around his future"
Re Tana: He’s also Haak depth insurance considering how often Justin has played CB.Assuming they declined Perea's option so they can try to re-sign him for less due to the injury. I know sports is a business, but that's some cold stuff.
But Tana's wage should not make him a depth piece. That's egregious on many levelsRe Tana: He’s also Haak depth insurance considering how often Justin has played CB.

I may be making this up, but I'm pretty sure I remember the league having some mechanism for injured players on expiring contracts or option years.
Yeah I have no problem with keeping Strahinja. He's the 3rd or 4th string CB depending on what happens with Haak. He makes too much but I have to believe their salary budget is in pretty decent shape.
Loosing Haak for nothing is a complete disaster if they let it happen.
Ice cold. Whoever is making these decisions — and we don't know who is making these decisions — is being pretty ruthless.Assuming they declined Perea's option so they can try to re-sign him for less due to the injury. I know sports is a business, but that's some cold stuff.
